Heather Reed is the Director of Judicate West's Federal Practice Group and a seasoned pioneer in the field of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). With three decades of experience, she has been at the forefront of federal law and mediation, bringing a relationship-driven approach to complex cases. Heather collaborates closely with attorneys, guiding them from mediator selection through sophisticated case management with her extensive expertise. An active affiliate member of multiple bar organizations, she plays a key role in coordinating MCLE programs and frequently speaks on professional panels. As a Director and Senior Case Manager, Heather works closely with a dedicated team of case managers and neutrals specializing in high-stakes disputes and intricate legal matters, serving as a mentor and consultant to the entire Case Management team on federal matters.  She received her master's degree in dispute resolution from Pepperdine Caruso School of Law and earned a bachelor's degree in political science and sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara with Phi Beta Kappa honors. Heather is a longtime triathlete, competitive USTA tennis player, certified birth coach, a member of Santa Barbara Women for Good, and a member of Cottage Hospital’s Patient Family Advisory Council. She and her husband Matthew lead a very active lifestyle with their four children, Shelagh, Sage, Kai, and Hansen.
