Hon. Gabriel A. Gutierrez, Ret.
| Following his retirement from the Los Angeles Superior Court in 1997, Judge Gutierrez has been serving as an Arbitrator, Mediator and Private Judge, utilizing his extensive experience on the bench and his keen understanding of the law to settle all types of civil disputes in the private sector. As an Arbitrator, he is known for his warm, friendly demeanor, his meticulous reviewing of submitted materials, and for his flexibility in letting the parties influence his hearing style. As a Mediator, his style is more like a settlement officer than a traditional mediator, and he has a high settlement rate. Judge Gutierrez is also known to be patient, understanding, and he diligently devotes himself to bringing them together to reach equitable resolution.
